Five Points Home Sales July - December 2012
Five Points is a Raleigh area that blends into the neighborhoods surrounding the intersection of Glenwood Avenue, Fairview and Whitaker Mill.
Five Points is sort of a conglomeration of parts of the neighborhoods of Bloomsbury, Vanguard Park, Hayes Barton, Georgetown, and Roanoke Park. This Raleigh neighborhood is really defined more by its hub than its boundaries.
Five Points has a very hip, cool, retro neighborhood feel to it. Four of the five neighborhoods in Five Points have been nominated to the National Register of Historic Places. Homes in Five Points range in price from the mid $100,000 up to around $700,000.
From July through December of 2012, 14 homes sold in Five Points. The average sales price was $302,976 with an average price per square foot of $200. It took, on average, 110 days to sell a home in Five Points. Homes sold in Five Points averaged 97% of the asking price during this time period.
The year built is always important with homes in historic or unique areas. The age of homes that sold in Five Points during the last half of 2012 ranged from the oldest which was built in 1905 (1542 Sunrise Avenue) to the newest home at 517 Mial Street which were built in 2012.
