Midtown Raleigh is a an exciting, bustling area of Raleigh. It lies just North of I-440 and is bordered by Umstead Park to the West, Capital Blvd. to the East, and Strickland Road to the North. (See map at bottom of page)
Midtown Raleigh has a broad array of subdivisions, from Luxury subdivisions such as North Ridge and The Hamptons at Umstead to beautiful established Midtown Raleigh neighborhoods such as such as Brookhaven and Stonehenge that center around family and community life.
"Midtown" got its name from the local newspaper, The News & Observer, which identified the area for marketing purposes.
These Midtown Raleigh homes are convenient to everything including shopping, dining, Research Triangle Park, the Raleigh Airport, medical facilities, universities, parks, museums, and more.
This subdivision page is sorted by luxury, golf, pools, gated, and subdivisions outside the city limits. The luxury subdivisions section has homes that start around $600,000 and go up from there to over a million dollars.
The Subdivisions Outside The City Limits group is there because of the Raleigh property tax rate. Property taxes for Raleigh homes outside the city limits is about half as much as for those homes within the city limits. Some people prefer to look for homes only in those subdivisions.
