River Ridge is a beautiful golf community in east Raleigh. River Ridge homes were built starting in 1997 and continued up through 2006-07.
Many of the homes in River Ridge are on large wooded lots with established and well-developed landscaping .
The homes are have a great size range - not too big - not too small. Most homes range in the 2500 - 4000 square foot range.
A River Ridge home will have some nice custom features not usually found in this price range. A home in River Ridge will range in price from around the mid $200,000s to the mid $400,000s.
The River Ridge Golf Club is a semi-private 18-hole, 72 par course. It was designed by Chuck Smith and opened in 1997.
The course terrain is hilly and well populated with trees. It's set along the Neuse River and has a kind of mountain feel to it.
Along with the golf club, River Ridge has a large clubhouse, snack bar, swimming pool, and tennis courts.
River Ridge is a delightful community that is just a step outside of Raleigh. It is close enough to the city to access all of the great stuff that Raleigh has to offer but still far enough away to be able to say, "We live in the country, and oh by they way - do not pay city taxes!"
Other golf neighborhoods in Raleigh include Brier Creek Country Club, North Ridge, and Wakefield Plantation.
