Raleigh Radon Inspections
Seller Viewpoint

Radon Inspection Sellers Seller Radon Inspection Radon Inspection Buyers

A Raleigh home Buyer will probably have a Raleigh Radon Inspection done on your home. Radon has been found in all 50 states - including North Carolina, and specifically in Raleigh and the surrounding area.

The North Carolina Offer to Purchase and Contract allows for a home inspection period, which is usually 10 days after the contract is signed by both the buyer and seller. It is during this time that inspections will be done.

A radon test is usually conducted over a three day period. Canisters are left in you home to take samples of the air. They are small and unobtrusive. The Radon Inspectors ask that you keep your doors closed as much as possible during this period.

A Radon Levels report will written by the Raleigh Radon inspector. We ask that the report be provided to you to verify if any problems were found.

Radon levels in excess 0.4 pCi/L are considered unacceptable. If radon levels exceed this level, there are ways to fix the problem. Even excessive levels can be mitigated to acceptable levels. If excessive radon levels are found, the buyers can ask you to mitigate them.

If this occurs we go over the report with you and develop a plan of action on what should be your next steps.

Other inspections that are commonly done are Raleigh Home Inspections and Raleigh Termite Inspections. If there is a septic system a Raleigh Septic Inspection may be completed.
