Staging Your Raleigh Home With Sounds
When you stage your home you are designing a feeling and aura for perspective buyers.
You want the prospective buyers to feel relaxed and imagine themselves living in your home. There are many aspects to Staging a Home in Raleigh to Sell. Here are some to consider.
Sounds
The sounds you choose for your home may not be the ones you would choose to listen to everyday. These sounds are not for entertainment but to set a mood.
Above all, the key here is LOW volume. You want the volume as faint as possible. The music should almost be unnoticed. Your goal is to relax the prospective home buyers and make it comfortable for them to linger in your home.
Visualize your home with different tone-zones. The main rooms are one zone. This zone would be rooms such as your living room, main entry way, kitchen, etc.
A second zone would be the more personal or private areas of your home such as the bedrooms, bathrooms, dressing areas, or quiet areas.
A third zone might be the deck, pool area, screened porch or patio.
Now, what kind of music?
For main rooms:
Light Piano is a great choice for Raleigh luxury homes. Piano is usually enjoyed by a wide variety of people, and can have very relaxing effects on the brain. Don't forget to keep it very low.
Light Jazz is great for a classic, traditional home or the exciting Raleigh downtown condos and Glenwood South area. Pick your jazz carefully as some of it can get a little wild. You want the music to be relaxing and pleasant. It adds elegance to your home.
Easy Listening - but NOT elevator music. Easy listening music that combines instruments and gives a relaxing sound is great for a transitional home and the wonderful low-country southern style home found throughout the North Carolina Triangle.
For private or personal zoned rooms:
Here you want very soothing sounds. There are great atmosphere soundtracks that have wonderful subtle, almost invisible sounds such as ocean sounds, rain forest, or nature sounds are perfect.
For you exterior areas you may want a bit more upbeat and just a tad more volume. Some gentle Caribbean or Latin sounds go great here. Here you want to give the hint of laughter and bring an unconscious smile to the buyer.
Play with your sounds and bring a friend over to test drive them on. See how the sounds make them feel as they tour your home. Hint: if you have to talk louder - turn the sound down - way down.
Enjoy!
